Get Glamorous with IPSY Beauty Subscription: April Glam Bag + Boxycharm Box

IPSY is a monthly beauty subscription where you get a cute bag monthly filled with five deluxe-sized beauty products and it’s only $13!

I recommend this beauty subscription for anyone who is looking to start their beauty collection or try new brands without breaking the bank. IPSY sends out different versions of bags/boxes each month, so my reviews might be a little different than what you receive.

My IPSY Subscription is Gifted.

This month’s theme is “Anything is Possible.” I really love this message so much because I feel that you need phrases like this to remind yourself you can reach for your dreams and make your goals happen.

What are my thoughts?

My thoughts will be based on a first impression of the goodies I got and I will be posting more about the products as I use them in upcoming makeup looks. So stay tune for those reviews. For all the skincare products I received I will check to make sure it works for my skin type, dry/sensitive skin, and depending on the size I need about 14 days to 30 days to use the product to make a determination on whether the product works for my type of skin.

First, I will start with the Boxycharm box – Immediately I was excited especially when I see brands I recognize and on top of that I love that the products are full size. I already own the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat in Lemon Lava, but now I can add it to my giveaway box I have been building. OMG, Origins!! I really wanted to start using more products from this brand because I haven’t since I worked for Sephora all those years ago. I love their Ginzing eye cream. Lys beauty is a brand I have been seeing and love that its black female owned, but I just never made the decision to add to cart AND I think this product is going to change my mind. I love bronzer sticks especially ones that blend easily- so come through LYS! Then I see this red box wit Tovegan and it says toner too…I immediately am afraid because A LOT of toners don’t work for me. So fingers crossed this one does because when I went to see if it is sensitive skin friendly, it is. I can’t wait to try. Lastly, I got a Natasha Denona mini palatte and the colors look stunning, but I don’t use anything from her brand. I might just save it to gift to a family member.

Moving on over to the IPSY glam bag, such a cute bag and I love the zipper with the ribbon that says IPSY. (I might need to take another picture showing the zipper.) So right off the bat I see Benefit Cosmetics and was psyched because I have been seeing their new skincare launch and wanted to try it. I love the packing and I love that its a cleanser because you can never have too many. Plus, its a foaming consistency too – bravo! Then I got a mascara and a liner from two brands I never heard of Realher & The shades by shan, which is perfect because I love trying new liners and new mascara especially with the short shelf life mascara has – 3 months, its crazy! I can’t wait to try the Nue Co moisturizer because it sounds like something really hydrating for my dry/sensitive skin – probiotics are so good for the skin, stay tune to see what I think. Last, I got some mini sponges from F.A.R.A.H and its perfect because the shelf life on these are forever plus its great to have extra sponges when you are feeling lazy when it comes to washing your tools (don’t be like me).

Is this month’s IPSY/Boxycharm worth your money?

Let me break it down for you:

Even though this was gifted I love to see if I would have gotten my money’s worth if I paid: $28

What I received:

Lippie: $26

Serum: $46

Bronzer: $20

Face Toner: $24

Eyes: $48

Total: $164 I would have spent if I went to the store or online to buy these. Whoa! It came out to such a great deal! For the price of one product, I got five really good products to try with the exception of the Fenty Beauty Lippie that I already own.

Let me know what you thought about my April IPSY Glam & Boxycharm box.
